My name is Laura, and as of December 30th, 2017, I am Laura Oswald! Sometimes I still cannot believe that I get to love the love of my life. I’m so grateful that I am able to understand the excitement of your wedding day even more. I wish I could relive mine over and over again (and fortunately I can–because of our photos)!
Jesus is my first love. I am beautifully and wonderfully made in His image, and so are you! God has spent SOOO much time creating you and me to be exactly how He wants us to be.
I also have been a farmer’s daughter ever since I was born. Now, I can happily add the label of “farmer’s wife” to the mix. I grew up on a farm on the outskirts of a super small town in Nebraska. My little town taught me what community means and how to live it. Being surrounded by 750 selfless, I’ll-drop -everything-to help-you type of people changes you. I love making new friends, and my community has taught me that you can never have too many.
My husband is so special to me. I feel like I can look for more tender moments on a wedding day between not only new love, but also love that has endured over time in a unique way as I am beginning to understand the depths of that shared experience. It gives me just a glimpse of the sweet grandparents who swap a quick kiss at the reception or the way the mom tenderly holds the dad’s hand as they watch their baby get married.
My family keeps growing too! I am a mama of 3 sweet kiddos. I am so grateful to get a front row seat to watching them grow.
I love photography for more reasons than I can name. I love making friends, and making people feel comfortable and valued during the biggest moments of their life, and capturing days in a way you will remember forever. I want you to not only see the day again- but feel it! And I want you to feel the moment to the fullest as well.
Giving you an experience is the most important thing to me. No awkward fake smiling. No stiff poses. Just you being you. I want to chase after all of the authenticity. I want to show you what you do not see- your real beautiful personality, the way he looks at you when you’re laughing with friends, the way your parents look at you during your ceremony, a sweet smile from grandma– all of it. I want to capture the real and I want to be real. Nothing fake. Honest and genuine happiness.
