Do you travel?
YES! I love to travel when it works! Travel rates vary depending on the destination or in-state shoots.
What does a session with you look like?
I love to provide my clients an experience. I want every smile, laugh, tear to be genuine and triggered by something real. I am all about being yourself and authenticity.
Do you require a down payment to reserve my session date?
Yes, depending on which session type, I require a non-refundable downpayment with a signed contract in order to save your date.
How many outfit changes do we get for senior/engagement sessions?
I cap the outfit changes at four. More than four is a lot of time changing clothes. Plus, people don’t typically look as fresh by outfit #8. But if you want more, chat with me and we can figure something out!
Are our digital files watermarked?
Heck, no. You don’t need my name in the corner of every photo you hang in the wall.
Laura is booked for my date. Now what?
If you reach out to me with a date where I am already booked, I will pass your information to my handpicked professional photographer associate team. I will contact you about availability on your date and about your budget.
By reaching out you are never bound to use our services, but if I am booked, my associate team does give you an option of experienced, skilled, positive, approved photographer for your date. I am involved in every wedding that we are honored to photograph. I will personally touch every photograph collection before the thrill of the big handoff.
What does it mean to hire an associate photographer?
I have handpicked my associate team. I have worked with them and love and love seeing their amazing work. If I am booked for your date and my associates are available, you now have the option to hire In Laura’s Lens with my team members as your lead photographer.
My associates will follow my tried and true procedures for all the paperwork to put you at ease before and during your big day. I will create a timeline with you planning space for fun and relaxation. The associate you hire will photograph your wedding and engagement sessions. My associate’s rate is discounted from mine with multiple packages to choose from. We will both edit and finalize your photos before we hand them off to you to enjoy forever!
How far in advance do I need to book a session?
As soon as possible. We reserve my next available date that works for us both. I would not waste any time. My next openings may vary from next week to six months to a year and a half. For weddings, I would try to book as fast as you possibly can to reserve your spot!
Should we order prints from you or do you have another vendor you recommend?
Although you are not required to print through me, I do encourage it. Something I am passionate about is providing you with high-quality prints and products to match your high-quality photos. The print release is included with every delivery unless we have contracted something different. See my products section below.
How do I get comfy in front of the camera?
My approach is really unique. I pour myself into getting to know you, having you fill out questionnaires, and making sure you feel comfy. The more honest you are with me about how you feel, the better I can make you feel like a rockstar during the shoot. Don’t worry about your hair, because I watch it to make sure it looks good. I love to let you be you. I read you like a book (sorry if that’s creepy) so I know when you are ready to dive deeper into being yourself in front of the camera. Oh, and I play awesome music (of your choice) so that you can let yourself relax.
If an associate photographs our session does Laura see our photos?
Yes! I can’t wait to see your photographs. I will personally edit each photograph and oversee every collection before the handoff.
