There are some people in our lives that are just so special, their wedding day feels like a holiday. It’s on the calendar. All other events orbit around it. If you’re like me, it is a total honor to be invited and a part of these incredible days!! Their big day is big to you too! But finding the perfect wedding gift for this super-amazing couple feels big too…and next to impossible.

Before I brainstormed this list I would typically resort to the registry…but feel like I wasn’t quite 100% happy. I do love getting the happy couple something they truly want and will use? But sometimes the registry item just isn’t enough. I want something that screams–I love you to the moon and back! I always want to do something a little extra special for these extra special people.

By the grace of God, I came up with a few ideas and had to write them down for the friend out there who thinks the same way as me. Here are three ideas to totally nail the perfect wedding gift.

1. A Wedding Album Is A Perfect Wedding Gift

Who says the perfect wedding gift has to be sent, wrapped, or waiting for them on the day of the wedding? Not me!

But what if your gift could give them the joy they felt on their wedding day? Wouldn’t that be amazing? Like handing back all of the joy and love they felt? You can do this by giving a wedding album–a collection of the highlights of their amazing day that they will treasure forever.

Your friend could open up a prepaid album from their photographer that you purchased. It’s the most wonderful way for them to capture their memories of the most special day in their life close by. Depending on the cost and your budget, you could pool funds with a bridesmaid, friends, or family and give it as a group, or make it an extra special gift from you. (It’s always a good idea to coordinate this with the couple’s photographer first. You don’t want to buy one if one has already been purchased.) Check with the photographer for prices. The price range for wedding albums is wide based on the quality, cost of goods, cover choices, pages, and the labor it takes so make sure you know how much and what level of quality you’re buying. It’s best to cover the entire cost so the couple is free to enjoy the gift without the need to add their own money.

I am SO happy with my print and album shop. They print high quality work that is extra affordable. So if I am your friend’s photographer- message me!

2. The Perfect Surprise

There is nothing more fun than to walk into someone’s house and see their stunning wedding photos displayed. It’s a great way to relive the happy day and the feelings from the wedding.

But sometimes couples, after paying for their wedding, feel as if there is no money left to have the wedding photos printed that they long for. They think they will buy some for their first anniversary, but by then the house is already decorated and put in place, leaving little room for their favorite day to be seen on the daily.

You totally solve this problem for them when you print photos for the bride and groom as the perfect wedding gift. You can put them in frames or purchase a print credit to gift something they will treasure forever.

Connect with your friend’s photographer to get access to the gallery to surprise them, or purchase a print credit for them to use after the wedding!

3. A Clever Wedding Gift Is Right At Your Finger Tips

A clever, yes-please wedding gift is to create an envelope of encouragement. Here’s how you do it.

  1. Print out engagement photos.
  2. Give a photo to the bride or groom’s close friend, a family member, their pastor, a parent.
  3. Ask them to write encouraging notes or prayers on the back of the photo for the bride to open on her wedding day.

She will see and feel the love smiling on her as she prepares to enter this new season of her life. And she can keep the love and encouragement forever.

One of my best friends did something similar for my wedding day, and it meant everything to me! She had everyone write encouraging words or prayers for me to open and read the morning of my wedding. I remember telling her two weeks before the big day that I could “feel” people were praying for me. Little did I know that that is what she gifted me! I still will look back in the box to gain wisdom, reflect on joy, or recite their prayers.

Why not do that with photos? Print some special engagement photos for their special people to write on the back so that every time your friend looks at the pictures she remembers how much she is loved.

Do you feel more prepared to give a really special wedding gift now? If so, please say, “I do!” I hope you see a perfect gift option in this list. Some people are extra special, it’s fun to get creative and think of something great for them to enjoy for a lifetime. Happy gift giving!
